A certain little girl has started getting up at night. Corey & I have a bad habit of staying up really late when school is out. Lila joins us some nights. So last night when I got her up, I decided we should try on her new dress and paint her nails. She loved this of course ;). She loves dressing up and getting her nails painted, thankfully!! I tell Corey that I think sometimes she just needs to be away from the boys and have "girl time". Here are some pics of our night...

Sunny skies & motivation where did you go?
I can't believe summer is almost over for us! I haven't completed so many of the things on my to do list (walking, dieting, organizing, painting)~ It seems that it has rained half the summer which is great if you're a farmer or hot ;), but not great if you have a pool! I have this certain cloud that always seem to show up and visit when I want to swim! Rain, rain go away!

Sweet Summer Time~
Today my little Lila started swimming on her own! Yes, all 23 lbs of her in a life jacket of course, swam in the deep end! I am so proud of my baby! Cooper is also starting to get better at getting in the pool and Kolby loves it too! We had a great evening cooking dinner for my parents, playing with the chicks, and catching lightening bugs. I love summer time! We have really enjoyed our summer this year and finally enjoying what our newer place has to offer! It was so nice to have time to actually get out of the house and do things on the property like fishing and flowering! Stay tuned...

Where do I begin?
First of all I am new again to blogging. For those of you that do not know us, we have been married for 7 years and have a 6 year old named Kolby and 26 month old twins Lila & Cooper! We moved to a new home this past November and it is our dream home! We are currently proud parents of several farm animals. So to get us all, we have 1 rabbit, 1 dog, two kittens, and 26 chickens and 3 children hence the reason our blog is named the feathery nest! We are staying very busy taking care of our brood! We are very much enjoying living in the country and all our little "babies".
